University of Connecticut – United States, Hanoi University of Science and Technology – Vietnam, Hanoi Medical University – Vietnam, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy – Vietnam and Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy – Vietnam will organize The 1st International Conference on Health Science and Technology (ICHST-2023) in Hanoi, Vietnam on December 28 – 29, 2023. We would like to invite you to be a part of the ICHST-2023 and submit your research papers for presentation consideration. The aim of ICHST-2023 is to provide a forum for academics and professionals to share research findings, experiences and knowledge for health science and technology. All of the abstracts and papers must be submitted via ICHST-2023’s EasyChair system. The abstract is within the limit of 300 words and should be used as the template Abstract Template ICHST-2023 (.docx) or (.pdf). Accepted and presented papers will be submitted for possible inclusion into IEEE Xplore. The official language is English. CALL FOR PAPER OF THE CONFERENCE – DOWNLOAD.
SCOPE OF THE CONFERENCE
Contributed papers are solicited describing original works in health science and technology. Topics and technical areas of interest include but are not limited to the following:
+) Biomaterials and Regenerative Engineering:
This topic covers all research about Biomaterials and tissue regenerative engineering. The field of biomaterials concerns the development and selection of appropriate materials to be placed inside the human body. This research includes fundamental understanding of the physical and chemical properties of the living tissue that a material will assist or replace. The material to be implanted should cause no harmful effects, such as poisonous reactions or cancer. In turn, the body must not damage the materials of the implant function. On the other hand, regenerative engineering is defined as the convergence of different disciplines of advanced biomaterial science, stem cell science, physics, developmental biology and clinical translation for the regeneration of complex tissues and organ systems. It is an expansion of tissue engineering, which was first developed as a method of repair and restoration of human tissue.
+) Biomechanics, Medical Devices, Imaging and Instrumentation:
This topic covers all research related to the field of biomechanics, medical devices/instrumentation and imaging. Biomechanics, or biological mechanics, uses the principles of mechanics to investigate the effects of energy and forces on biological matter and/or material systems in order to model and predict the mechanical behavior of a living system. On the other hand, the field of medical devices and instrumentation is commonly defined as the analysis, design, and control of biologically based systems and plays an essential role in the development of devices and instruments for medical purposes. Biomedical imaging involves the use of technology to image biological molecules, cells, tissues, organs, body parts, and/or the entire human body.
+) Drug/Vaccine Delivery and Pharmaceutical Technologies:
This topic covers all research related to the field of drug or vaccine delivery and pharmaceutical technologies. Drug delivery and pharmaceutical technologies describe technologies that carry drugs into or throughout the body. These technologies include the method of delivery, such as a pill that you swallow or a vaccine microneedle skin patch or implanted devices which can be controlled to release drugs on-time and at right places inside the body. Other examples of these systems include the lipid nanoparticles that can induce a strong immune response and protection from the loaded mRNA vaccines etc.
+) Analytical, Molecular Diagnostic and Sensing Technology:
This topic covers all research related to the analytical, molecular diagnostic and sensing technologies. Analytical, molecular diagnostics and sensing technologies are concerned with the separation, detection, identification, and quantification of chemicals and biomolecules of interest. It includes a wide range of techniques, such as chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, and bio/electrical sensors. The technologies can be developed for the detection of specific genetic sequences, proteins, or other biomarkers in biological samples. The topic will cover new diagnostic and analytical tools with broad applications in biomedical research, clinical diagnostics, and environmental monitoring.
+) Digital Health and Telemedicine (AI and Data Science for Health):
This topic covers all research related to the field of digital health, telemedicine and data science (AI) for health application. Digital health involves the use of digital technologies, such as wearable devices, mobile health apps, and electronic health records (EHRs), to collect and analyze health data. Telemedicine, on the other hand, refers to the use of digital technologies to provide healthcare services remotely. This can include virtual consultations, remote monitoring, and remote diagnosis. Telemedicine is particularly useful in situations where patients’ access to a physical healthcare facility is limited. Meanwhile, AI and data science are playing an increasingly important role in both digital health and telemedicine. Machine learning algorithms can be used to analyze large datasets of medical records, genomics, and imaging data to identify patterns and make predictions about disease risk, treatment response, and patient outcomes.
+) Cellular and Neural Engineering:
This topic covers all research related to the field of cellular and neural engineering. Cellular and neural engineering are two closely related fields that aim to understand and manipulate the complex biological systems of cells and neurons in order to develop new treatments for a variety of diseases and disorders. Cellular engineering involves the design and manipulation of cells, with the goal of creating new tissues or repairing damaged ones. This can involve the use of stem cells, which have the ability to differentiate into a wide range of different cell types. Cellular engineering techniques can be used to create new tissues for transplantation, develop more effective drug delivery systems, or even to engineer entire organs. Neural engineering, on the other hand, focuses specifically on the nervous system, including the brain and spinal cord. This field involves the use of advanced technologies to help restore lost or impaired function in patients with neurological disorders.
+) Others applied in Healthcare:
This topic covers all other research which are not related to the other areas described above. All researchers working on the healthcare and medical fields and not familiar with the other described topics are encouraged to submit an abstract for this.
